Karim: Merry Collaborator n° 3

And last but not least the time had come to find a merry man of our own! Meet Karim, 33 years old, in the prime of his life and happy to add some testosterone to this group of females! Check out his answers to my questions here:

1. What do you do for a living?

I’m basically always trying to find the right balance between doing my own creative thing and working on several projects from which you’ll hear very soon. And what exactly are those creative things: dj’ing, graphic design (logo’s, promo material), basic web design and filming & editing short clips.

2. What are the biggest passions in your life?

Above all interests there’s music: I love listening to it and playing a good set. It makes me happy when people are enjoying my mixtapes or having a great time in front of the turntables. Besides that I’m just a big admirer of any kind of beauty: architecture, art, fashion, cars, design and so on.

3.  If you’d have to move, where would you go to?

For me it’s hard to stay in one place so I would move between my three favorite cities: Barcelona, Los Angeles and my hometown Antwerp (during summer).

4. What’s your favorite Saturday afternoon activity?

Like most people: spending time with friends, drinking coffee, going on mini city trips. But I’d definitely would like to do more impulsive things during my days off.

5. If there’s just one brand you could wear for the rest of the year, what would it be

I’m not a “one brand” kind of guy or I simply haven’t found that one brand for me yet ;) Today I’m wearing a shirt from a label called Hartford which I really like and I also became addicted to my collection of Nike sneakers.

6. What’s your all time favorite movie / book / CD?

I can’t give you an answer to the music part of the question because there’s just too much but my favorite movies are Leon, Intouchables, Walter Mitty and Limitless. One of the books I read most is ‘Le Petit Prince’ from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

7. If you could be someone else for one day, who would it be?

Bruce Wayne, Muhammed Ali or just the best version of myself.

8. Where do you want to be within now and 10 years?

I would really like to become more professional in what I do and travel around the world as a DJ. But I’d also love to own some land with a vegetable garden and a few animals, preferably close to the seaside. But that’s a plan for the longer term!

9. What makes you a good merrymaker?

Here I can group my interests in music, food, design, fashion,… that I usually spread over my websites, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram! Also the perspective of a guy on several subject might be interesting and there just has to be a rooster to held in check those 4 crazy merry chickens ;)
